But around halfway through the hack the author seemed to give up tying anything together and just decided to end it. It raises more and more questions as you go along, and is incredibly interesting.

The first few times you kind of give an inner chuckle to the situation, but it gets very old, very fast. The author thinks it's hilarious when he breaks the fourth wall. Pokemon Snakewood is the worst hack I've ever played. Just search for Pokemon ROM hack and you can find dozens of completed hacks and even more in-progress ones. There are a lot of really great hacks out there on pokecommunity and a lot of others. It's a ton of fun to explore new regions.
